Dar Via is a result of a battle with a serious illness. I've been making jewelry for fourteen years. It wasn't until I was diagnosed with breast cancer that I realized how important it was in my life. As I went through chemotherapy, I needed a way to calm the fears I had for myself and my family's future. Creating objects of beauty gave me a sense of peace and joy, allowing me to transcend physical discomfort and emotional distress. |

During my treatment, I volunteered for a number of breast cancer organizations. As I recovered, I looked for a way to make a unique contribution to breast cancer research and to the many groups helping fellow patients. I began selling my jewelry through The Hope Chest in Wayzata, Minnesota. The Hope Chest for Breast Cancer is an upscale retail shop that funds research and hospice care for people touched by breast cancer.

My creations are now available at a number of fine retail stores in the Twin Cites area. Dar Via in Italian means "to give away". Through my company, I am committed to financially supporting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Breast Cancer Awareness Association. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
